LOOMING GOVERNMENT DEADLINES FOR EMPLOYERS

FEBRUARY 2018

BEN 118R– Statement Of Amount Due For Benefits Paid.

  • On February 9, 2018 Forms were mailed to Employers who have benefit charges.
  • Protest of the benefit charges is due on March 1, 2018.
  • Payment of the Statement Of Amount Due For Benefits Paid is due by March 12, 2018.
  • If the Employer did not get a BEN 118R form, from IDES, send a letter indicating no Statement Of Amount Due For Benefits Paid, was received for the fourth quarter of 2017.
  • Also indicate if there were benefits charges in the fourth quarter of 2017 we are protesting all the benefit charges listed on the BEN 118R.
  • Letter is sent to your IDES regional office.

January Monthly Wage Reports need to be filed on MyTax Illinois.

2018 UNEMPLOYMENT INFORMATION

     

2018 Employer Contribution Rates:

     

Minimum 2018 Contribution Rate:   .525%

Maximum 2018 Contribution Rate:  6.925%

Taxable Wage Base: $12,960.00

     

2018  Maximum Weekly Benefit Amounts:

Single, No Dependents  $548.00

With a Dependent Spouse:  $545.00

With a Dependent Child/Children:    $627.00

 

2017 UNEMPLOYMENT INFORMATION

            

DECEMBER 2017

December 1, 2017: IDES mailed the 2018 Employer Contribution Rate Determination to all Illinois Employers.

December 15:  Protests were due for the 2018 rate determination.

December 18, 2017: Protests for BEN 118's were due.

November Monthly Wage Report needs to be filed by January 2, 2018 on MyTax Illinois.

NOVEMBER 2017

On November 30, 2017, IDES mailed the 2018 Employer Contribution Rate Determination. Protests are due December 15, 2017.
Ben 118 Statement of Benefit Charges for the Third Quarter of 2017 Will Be Mailed.

Ben 118R Statment of Amount Due For Benefits Paid will be mailed for the Third quarter of 2017.

October 2017 MonthlyWage Report needs to be filed by November 30, 2017 at MyTax Illinois.

OCTOBER 2017


August Monthly Wage Report needs to be filed by October 2, 2107 on MyTax Illinois.

September 2017 Quarterly Wage Report needs to be filed and paid by October 31, 2017, at MyTax Illinois.

MyTax Illinois Unemployment Insurance Transition Is Complete

On Monday, September 11, the Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES) successfully transitioned the Unemployment Insurance (UI) tax process over to the MyTax Illinois portal. By working with the Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR), more than 350,000 Illinois employers can now take advantage of MyTax Illinois to handle all State of Illinois tax processes.

As soon as MyTax Illinois was available, Illinois employers began filing their monthly and quarterly wage reports, making tax payments and requesting refunds, all online. So far, more than 15,000 wage reports have been filed, about $3,000,000 in tax payments have been processed and nearly 700 electronic requests for refunds have been received.

The August Montly Wage Report needs to be filed on MyTax Illinois by October 2, 2017.

The September Quarterly Wage Report and Payment must be paid and filed on MyTax Illinois by October 31, 2017

2017 Maximum Weekly Benefit Amounts:

Single  $449.00

With a Spouse:  $535.00

With a Dependent Child:    $613.00

2017 Employer Contribution Rates:

Minimum 2017 Contribution Rate:   .550%

Maximum 2017 Contribution Rate:  7.350%
